As part of the MYndTheater project, the first Virtual Forum Lab was successfully implemented, bringing together participants in an interactive online learning environment focused on the application of the Forum Theatre methodology.

The MYndTheater project uses Forum Theatre as a participatory approach to explore challenges faced by young people in digital environments, encouraging dialogue, critical thinking, and the development of possible responses to complex situations.

The first Virtual Forum Lab focused on the theme “Identification, Analysis and Discussion of Critical Situations” and aimed to support participants in recognizing and understanding the main risks and challenges young people encounter in online spaces. Through collaborative discussions, participants explored different examples of critical digital situations, analysed their impact on young people’s mental health and well-being, and exchanged perspectives on how these situations can be transformed into meaningful Forum Theatre scenarios.

A significant part of the session was dedicated to the selection of critical themes to be represented through Forum Theatre. Participants worked together to identify the topics that best reflected the realities and concerns of young people in today’s digital world

The selected themes will serve as a foundation for the creation of Forum Theatre performances, where participants will transform real-life challenges into interactive scenes that encourage reflection, discussion, and the exploration of alternative solutions.

Through this first Virtual Forum Lab, participants strengthened their understanding of how Forum Theatre can be used as a tool for social change and youth empowerment. By moving beyond traditional observation and becoming active contributors in the process, participants began shaping stories and scenarios that reflect the experiences of young people while promoting empathy, dialogue, and collective problem-solving.
