The project "A Step Towards a Life Without Darkness," is a significant volunteering initiative funded by the European Solidarity Corps programme. This project aims to address the critical issue of high lung cancer rates globally, with a particular focus on Turkey. By mobilizing volunteers and leveraging community engagement, the project seeks to create awareness, provide education, and foster a supportive network for those affected by lung cancer.

All those interested will be able to participate in informal conversations and receive a wide range of information about the process of registration in the Erasmus+ and ESC programmes, what it means to participate in it, how to look for partners, choose the right field of work, and learn how to apply for various Erasmus+ and ESC programmes as an individual participant.

Hey everyone! Akwedukt Association is looking for 1-2 long-term ESC volunteers to work in our Youth Center! Volunteering with us you will: Gain valuable skills and experience, connect with like-minded individuals from across Europe, make a positive impact on young lives and enjoy a dynamic and supportive environment!

Are you passionate about football? Do you like working with children and youngsters? Do you have experience as a coach, or maybe wish to become one in the future? If you answered “YES” to these questions – we’re looking for YOU!

This ESC opportunity will consist of 12 volunteers from different European countries and 12 volunteers from France, forming an intercultural team. There will be activities about ecology to discover food issues and sustainable food (prepare and animate workshops about these topics to raise awareness about it; act with local ecological organisations).

This month our H.A.N.D. project volunteers traveled to Tuzla, meeting Marko, a Bravo project coordinator. He arranged meetings with local organizations, where they learned about volunteer actions, target groups, and local aims.

The ESC project presents a unique opportunity for volunteers to immerse themselves in Turkish culture while actively contributing to community development. Participants will engage in a diverse range of activities, including educational initiatives, environmental actions, and cultural exchange.

The project aims to provide organizational and pedagogical support, design engaging classes for children, initiate a self-directed project to innovate the center's services, contribute creatively through photography and design tasks, assist with household duties, and represent the center at external events.

What YOU will do: 1. LEARN WITH US: Attend courses, training, activities, and workshops about sustainable environment, handcraft, content creation, and effective social media use. 2. TEACH US IN THE SPEAKING CLUB: Teach about your country of origin or organize activities about your interests and teach the local volunteers what you learned from our project in our speaking club! 3. ASSISTANCE: Assist teachers and mentors during the activities. Help organize small events and celebrations such as walks, trips, excursions sports, cultural nights, etc.
