Within the framework of the MYndTheater project, the third Virtual Forum Lab was successfully implemented, focusing on the theme “Proposal of Games, Exercises and Activities.”
This session represented an important step in the Forum Theatre methodology, as participants worked on defining the most suitable participatory methods that will support the objectives of the future stage performances.
During this Virtual Forum Lab, participants explored different games, exercises and interactive activities designed to encourage engagement, creativity, critical thinking and active participation.
The focus was placed on identifying techniques that can effectively connect with the audience and create an environment where spectators are encouraged to move beyond observation and become active contributors – Spect-Actors.
Through collaborative work and discussions, participants analysed how different activities can support the preparation of Forum Theatre performances, from creating meaningful scenarios to encouraging reflection and collective problem-solving. The proposed activities were developed to help participants and future audiences explore critical situations, understand different perspectives and actively search for possible solutions.
A key aspect of this session was understanding the role of the audience within Forum Theatre. Instead of remaining passive observers, spectators are invited to interact with the performance, question the presented situations and actively intervene by proposing and testing alternative actions.
This transformation from spectator to Spect-Actor represents the core principle of Forum Theatre methodology.
The third Virtual Forum Lab contributed to the development of practical tools and creative approaches that will be used in the next stages of the MYndTheater project. By combining theatre techniques, participatory learning and critical reflection, the activities developed during this session support the creation of performances that empower young people to express their experiences, explore challenges and become active agents of change.
Through MYndTheater, Forum Theatre becomes a space for dialogue, experimentation and transformation, where every participant has the opportunity to contribute to creating new perspectives and solutions.
