Following the successful implementation of the first Virtual Forum Lab, the second session within the MYndTheater project was organised with a focus on the “Design of the theatrical staging on the critical situations identified”.

Building upon the critical situations and themes identified during the previous session, participants continued the creative process by exploring how these real-life challenges could be transformed into engaging and impactful Forum Theatre performances.

During this Virtual Forum Lab, participants worked on the development of theatrical approaches for presenting selected critical situations. Discussions focused on how to represent conflicts emerging from digital environments through physical theatre, how to create realistic scenarios that reflect young people’s experiences, and how to encourage audience participation and reflection through the Forum Theatre methodology.

Participants explored different aspects of theatrical staging, including the definition of the main objectives of the performance, the representation of conflicts, the identification of key messages, and the ways in which characters, settings, and interactions can effectively communicate the challenges faced by young people in online spaces.

Special attention was given to ensuring that the performances remain interactive and create opportunities for the audience to actively participate in searching for possible solutions.

Through collaborative work and creative exchange, participants developed a deeper understanding of how Forum Theatre can serve as a powerful tool for raising awareness, encouraging dialogue, and empowering young people to critically reflect on digital challenges. The outcomes of the second Virtual Forum Lab represent an important step towards the creation of the final theatrical performances within the MYndTheater project, connecting digital realities with creative expression and social change.
