The training course YOUth ACTive aims to provide a meaningful learning experience for youth professionals, volunteers and people interested in working with young people. It will support them in finding ways to discover their “gift” and share it with others, while dreaming, thinking and acting for the improvement of their communities.
Through non-formal education sessions, participants will strengthen their capacity to support young people in identifying local needs across different social, geographical and cultural contexts, and in transforming their ideas into meaningful community actions. Using practical, creative and participatory methods, they will explore community mapping, confidence building, idea development, basic business modelling, artistic tools, experimentation, and learning from difficulties and challenges.
At the same time, the course will highlight that they do not have to do everything alone. We aim to create a viable and lean network of like-minded active people who are ready to support each other and make the journey more joyful and effective.
Particular attention will be given to inclusion, active citizenship and the participation of young people with fewer opportunities. Participants will test methods, exchange practices and prepare follow-up activities that can be transferred to their organisations or applied directly in their local youth work contexts.
The course aims to contribute both to participants’ personal development and to the improvement of their communities. For participants, it will support selfdevelopment, connection and empowerment. For their communities, it will contribute to building a better future together
The venue of the project will be in Mórahalm. A nice Spa town just next to Szeged, one of the most beautiful city of Hungary. The accommodation will be a modern and recently renewed College called “Szegedi SZC Tóth János Mórahalmi Kollégium”
