We are thrilled to announce the OPEN CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS for the European Solidarity Corps volunteer opportunity with Eco-Logic, which will take place in Skopje, North Macedonia.This is a 6-month program starting from February 2025.

SUMMARY

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Eco-Logic is a non-profit organization focused on promoting sustainability, environmental protection and community engagement. As a volunteer, you will contribute to educational initiatives, youth work and community outreach by inspiring local communities to embrace sustainable practices. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fields of environmental awareness, sustainability and climate action.

 

VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES

– Educational Initiatives: Organize workshops, lectures and outdoor activities on topics like sustainability, zero waste and environmental protection.

– Youth and Community Engagement: Engage young people through digital platforms and inspire them to participate in environmental causes.

– Promoting Sustainable Practices: Coordinate eco-friendly events such as clean-up drives, bicycle tours and exhibitions.

– Project Support: Assist with research, analysis and educational resource development for community-focused projects.

 

PARTICIPANT PROFILE

We are looking for motivated young people who are passionate about environmental issues and community service.

– Age range: 18 to 30 years old.

– Background check: Required (due to work with children).

– Open to all, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, or education level.

 

WHAT WE OFFER:

– Accommodation: Volunteers will be provided with comfortable living arrangements in Skopje.

– Financial Support: Monthly stipends for food, transportation and pocket money.

– Language Training: Basic Macedonian language courses will be available.

– Working Hours: 6 hours per day, Monday to Friday.

– Target Groups: Local youth, children and the broader community.

 

PARTCIPANT'S PROFILE

Age: over 18 years;

Occupation: youth workers, junior journalists, students /majoring in Communications, Media, Social Activities, other relevant to the topic majors/, bloggers and vloggers, human rights activists, volunteers in youth organizations, teachers;

Additional preferences: Experience in online communications; Experience in working with disadvantaged young people;

Working language: English – written and spoken;

Logistics requirements: to be present throughout the trainin

FINANCIAL CONDITIONS

6 days accommodation and meals will be covered by the project. Travel expenses will be reimbursed to the participants after the training course, based on their actual costs and not exceeding the Erasmus+ distance calculator band as follows:  Bosnia and Herzegovina – 275 Euro

COVID-19 tests (antigen or PCR) are not covered by the project, but if a participant is under their travel budget and a test is needed, the differece could be used to cover those expenses.

The reimbursement for your travel expenses will be made through bank transfer after the training and within 45 days from the date when we receive the originals of your travel documentation by post. In order to be eligible for reimbursement, the travel should:

  • Be the cheapest possible;
  • 2nd class tickets;
  • Arrival should be no later than March 7th;
  • Departure should not be before March 13th ;
  • Without any unnecessary stops.
