ABOUT THE PROJECT
We are thrilled to announce the OPEN CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS for the European Solidarity Corps volunteer opportunity with Foundation Windmill Tree, which will take place in Jelenia Góra, Poland. This is a long-term ESC lasting 6 months or 1 year.
As a ESC volunteer on this project your tasks would be:
- Working with Ukrainian children from refugee backgrounds – through storytelling workshops, we will help them bring their stories to life in a real published book
- Support local youth – street art festival, social gardening…. mountain trips in mixed age, nationality, ability groups
- Managing a local engagement hub – actions to inspire and unite local organizations for community development International projects – focused on street work, theater, music, group volunteering projects
- Office & media tasks – writing and sending emails, creating engaging content for our social media (Instagram, Facebook)
PARTICIPANT PROFILE
- Age: 18–30 years old
- Eligibility: Must not have completed a long-term EVS or ESC before
- Language Skills: Medium-level English (speaking and writing) required
- Willing to take on project tasks and responsibilities
- Previous volunteering/work experience locally or internationally is a plus, particularly relevant to project activities
ACCOMMODATION, FOOD & TRAVEL
The town is surrounded by the Jizera Mountains and Jizera Foothills to the west, the Kaczawskie Mountains to the north, the Rudawy Janowickie Mountains to the east, and the Karkonosze Mountains to the south. So, if you love mountains, this is the perfect place for you!
- The flat is in a calm area, next to a river, just a 15-minute walk from the city center
- You will have your own room.
- You will live with another volunteer in a 2-rooms flat
- The flat is fully equipped – including a washing machine, stove…
- Travel cost reimbursement upon arrival
- Meals and pocket money
