The MYndTheater project marked the end of its two-year journey with a virtual final conference, bringing together young people, youth workers, educators, creative practitioners, and representatives of organisations from across Europe to reflect on the project’s achievements and its impact on youth mental health and wellbeing.
Co-funded by the European Union, MYndTheater explored how Forum Theatre can serve as a creative and participatory tool to empower young people to express themselves, share their experiences, and address challenges related to mental health and the digital environments in which they live.
About the Online Conference
The online conference provided an opportunity to revisit the project’s journey, celebrate the contributions of those involved, and exchange experiences and insights gained throughout its implementation. Participants reflected on the importance of creating safe and inclusive spaces where young people can engage in open dialogue, explore challenging topics, and develop the confidence to express their thoughts and emotions.
Through its activities, MYndTheater encouraged young people to strengthen their life skills, develop psycho-emotional competences, and engage critically with issues affecting their everyday lives. By combining theatre, creativity, and active participation, the project demonstrated how non-formal education can make complex topics more accessible and encourage meaningful conversations among young people.
International Cooperation
The conference also highlighted the value of international cooperation in addressing shared challenges and developing approaches that can be adapted to different youth work contexts. Collaboration among partners from Greece, Italy, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, and North Macedonia contributed to the exchange of knowledge, practices, and perspectives throughout the project.
As MYndTheater reaches its conclusion, its central message remains relevant: young people need opportunities to be heard, to participate actively, and to explore their experiences in supportive environments. Creative approaches such as Forum Theatre can help open these spaces, strengthen connections, and encourage young people to become active participants in conversations about their mental health and wellbeing.
Virtual Final Conference
The virtual final conference was an opportunity not only to look back on two years of collaboration and learning, but also to recognise the potential of the methods and experiences developed through MYndTheater to inspire future youth work initiatives.
BRAVO is proud to have been part of this journey and remains committed to supporting young people through inclusive, participatory, and creative approaches that promote personal development, wellbeing, and active engagement.
MYndTheater may be concluding, but the conversations, connections, and creative possibilities it has encouraged can continue beyond the project.
