BRAVO BiH

Educational content needs to work for the people who will use it. For GENDERWISE, involving young women in testing the e-learning platform provides an opportunity to examine how its learning materials, navigation, and activities fit participants’ needs.

BRAVO is preparing to gather feedback from volunteers who have expressed interest in exploring the platform. Their observations will help identify what is clear, where difficulties arise, and which aspects may need further attention.

From Development to User Experience

A platform can look well organised during development while still raising questions for someone using it for the first time. Finding a course, understanding an instruction, or completing an activity may involve steps that need a closer look.

Testing allows participants to explore these tasks and describe their experience. It connects the development process with the practical realities of using the platform.

The purpose is to understand how the learning environment works from a user’s perspective and gather information that can inform improvements.

What Participants Will Be Asked to Consider

Feedback can cover both the educational content and the way it is presented. Are instructions understandable? Is it clear where to begin? Can participants move between sections and recognise what they have completed?

The relevance of the material also matters. Participants can reflect on whether examples connect with their experiences and whether activities help them understand the topic.

Observations about confusing wording, unfamiliar terms, or unclear assessment questions can be particularly useful. Specific examples help the project team understand where a difficulty occurred.

Learning Across Different Devices

Participants may access the platform from a phone, tablet, or computer. Exploring the experience on different devices can reveal practical issues with readability, navigation, or completing activities.

Feedback about videos, documents, and loading times can also help identify areas for review. A problem that appears on one device may be missed when testing takes place only on another.

Gathering these observations provides a broader picture of how participants access the learning environment.

Keeping Feedback Manageable

BRAVO’s volunteers will be invited to complete a questionnaire after testing. The questionnaire provides a structured way to share observations about the experience.

Focused questions can help participants report difficulties and suggest changes without making the feedback process unnecessarily demanding. Space for additional comments allows them to raise issues that the questions may not cover.

Participants should understand what they are being asked to test and how their feedback will contribute to the review process.

Turning Observations into Improvements

Once feedback is collected, the next step is to review it carefully. Recurring difficulties can indicate areas that need priority attention, while individual comments may reveal an issue affecting a particular device or access requirement.

Some observations may concern technical functions. Others may relate to wording, content structure, or the clarity of an activity. Understanding the nature of each issue helps direct it to the appropriate part of the project team.

Where changes are made, further checks can help assess whether they address the original difficulty. Testing is most useful when observations lead to considered action.

Sharing Results Responsibly

After testing is completed and the responses have been reviewed, BRAVO can share a factual overview of the main findings and any resulting improvements.

Participants’ experiences should be represented accurately. Personal quotations or identifiable stories should only be published with permission, and a small testing group should not be presented as representing every potential user.

A clear account of what was tested, what participants reported, and what was changed will help readers understand the contribution and limits of the exercise.

How GENDERWISE Connects Learning with Participation

GENDERWISE supports young female athletes aged 14 to 26 through educational resources, digital learning opportunities, and mentoring. User testing offers a practical way to involve participants in reviewing how these resources are delivered.

For BRAVO, gathering feedback is an opportunity to listen and learn. Volunteers’ time and observations can help the project team understand the platform more clearly and identify ways to improve the learning experience.

As testing progresses, BRAVO will continue sharing updates based on the activities completed and the feedback collected.

MORE ABOUT THE PROJECT

GENDERWISE is a 30-month initiative funded under the Erasmus+ Sport programme, bringing together seven partners from six European countries. The project promotes gender equality in sport and supports dual careers for young female athletes through educational resources, online learning, and mentoring.

Stay tuned as BRAVO continues sharing GENDERWISE activities and perspectives on creating more inclusive opportunities for young women in sport.
