BRAVO BiH

We are proud to announce the successful start of the first stage of the Erasmus+ Training Course project “Narratives of Peace”, which officially began on May 4th, 2026.

This initial phase is being conducted online and will run until May 8th, 2026, bringing together 33 participants from different backgrounds, all united by a shared goal, to explore peacebuilding through digital storytelling.

The project, hosted by BRAVO (Bosnian Representative Association for Valuable Opportunities) in Sarajevo, focuses on empowering young people and youth workers with innovative tools for conflict resolution, intercultural dialogue, and storytelling.

Beginning the Journey: Day One Highlights

The first day of the online phase set a strong foundation for the days ahead. Participants gathered for an online welcome and orientation session, where they were introduced to the project structure, objectives, and expectations. This was followed by engaging “getting to know each other” activities, creating a safe and open environment for collaboration.

The learning journey then moved into the core topic with an introduction to digital storytelling, where participants explored how narratives can shape perspectives and influence understanding. In parallel, they were introduced to the basics of conflict resolution, connecting storytelling with real-life challenges and peacebuilding practices.

An especially impactful session focused on conflict stories from participants’ communities, allowing individuals to share personal and local experiences. This created a meaningful space for reflection, empathy, and deeper intercultural understanding. The day concluded with a daily reflection session, encouraging participants to process their learning and share insights.

All sessions are structured within a dynamic daily schedule from 10:00 to 14:00, combining interactive workshops, discussions, and practical exercises designed to ensure active participation and continuous engagement.

What Comes Next

Throughout the online phase, participants will continue developing their skills through sessions on:

  • Media literacy and critical analysis
  • Storyboarding and scriptwriting
  • Digital tools and production techniques
  • Role-playing and conflict mediation
  • Creation and presentation of digital stories

This first stage serves as preparation for the second phase of the project, the physical mobility in Sarajevo (July 13–19, 2026), where participants will apply their knowledge in practice, collaborate in teams, and produce impactful digital storytelling outputs.
