On April 24th, partners of the GENDERWISE project gathered online to review the progress of ongoing activities and set the course for the next stages of the project. Representatives from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Portugal, Greece, Finland, and Ukraine came together to discuss research challenges, dissemination strategies, and project management updates, further strengthening collaboration toward promoting gender equality in sports.
The meeting opened with a discussion on Work Package 2 (WP2), focusing on the research process and national report development. SEA presented the situation in Portugal, sharing the difficulties in collecting survey responses from sports clubs and federations. Despite persistent outreach efforts, the low engagement rate poses challenges for completing the national report on time.
BRAVO reported positive progress, with surveys completed by 50 young people and interviews finalised, moving towards report drafting. Partners from Greece and Ukraine reported steady progress, with completed interviews and survey responses ready for submission. Finland’s team shared that although some challenges remain, they are confident they will meet the targets in the coming days.
Overall, partners demonstrated commitment and proactive problem-solving in overcoming obstacles in the research phase. The coordinator provided an update on dissemination activities, emphasising the importance of partners regularly updating the dissemination panel on the platform to track posts and activities across all channels. Partners were reminded to register not only project-related content but also testimonials and outreach activities tied to the project.
SEA was tasked with the next article for the project’s social media rotation, while PESG successfully published an article on EPALE. A new video production plan was also introduced, aiming for at least 30 videos covering activities such as piloting, workshops, multiplier events, and promotional content for the MOOCs. PESG will provide templates to simplify the recording process for partners.
