BRAVO joined partners from European countries for the kick-off meeting of the From the Outside In (FOI) project, an Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership in the field of Youth, officially marking the beginning of a 24-month cooperation focused on strengthening the cognitive skills and emotional resilience of young people.
The project brings together organisations from Slovenia, Greece, Spain, Bulgaria and Bosnia and Herzegovina to address an increasingly important challenge: young people are facing growing emotional stress, cognitive overload, difficulties with concentration, social pressures and uncertainty, while youth workers and educators often lack structured, evidence-informed and non-clinical tools for preventive support.
About the Project
The main target group of the project is young people aged 15–30, with particular attention to young people with fewer opportunities. Youth workers and educators will also play an important role, as they will use the methodology and tools developed through the project.
During the kick-off meeting held in Celje, the partners reviewed the approved project, its expected results and implementation plan, and established a common understanding of the work ahead.
The FOI platform will be developed as a practical support environment where real-life situations and individual needs can lead young people towards appropriate exercises for developing cognitive skills and emotional resilience.
The platform is not intended to function as a clinical service, but as a preventive and educational tool that can be used in youth work settings.
The project will follow a shared implementation process: needs analysis → development of a common skills framework → methodology and activity development → testing and validation → implementation in youth work settings → dissemination and sustainability.
Over the next 24 months, BRAVO and its partners will work together to develop, test and share practical tools that can help young people strengthen their cognitive skills, better navigate emotional challenges and build greater resilience for an increasingly complex and changing world.
