BRAVO BiH

The digital world offers incredible opportunities for learning, communication, and collaboration.

At the same time, it presents significant challenges, including misinformation, disinformation, manipulated content, and misleading online narratives.

As digital technologies continue to shape everyday life, media literacy has become one of the most valuable competencies for young people.

About the Project

The DevelopMENS project places media literacy at the centre of its educational approach by helping learners understand how information is produced, distributed, and consumed across different media channels. Participants are encouraged to critically evaluate online content, identify reliable sources, recognise misleading information, and reflect on the influence media has on public opinion and individual behaviour.

Through engaging online modules available on the DevelopMENS platform, learners explore topics such as fact-checking techniques, digital ethics, responsible content sharing, algorithm awareness, online privacy, and the role of social media in shaping perspectives. The platform combines theoretical knowledge with practical exercises that enable participants to apply their learning to real-life digital situations.

Improving media literacy also contributes to creating safer and more respectful online communities. By understanding how misinformation spreads and how digital platforms influence communication, young people become better prepared to engage responsibly, protect themselves from online manipulation, and contribute positively to public discussions.

The DevelopMENS project believes that strengthening media literacy is essential for building informed, confident, and responsible digital citizens who are capable of navigating today’s complex information landscape while promoting truth, respect, and critical engagement.
