AIM OF THE PROJECT
BRAVO is opening a call for participants for the second international activity of the Visegrad project “Inclusive Communities = Inclusive Public Spaces.”
The activity will take place in Negotino, North Macedonia, from 03 to 05 September 2026, bringing together young people from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Poland, Czechia, and North Macedonia.
The international participants will join approximately 30 local young people from North Macedonia and take part in three days of learning, exchange, discussion, and practical activities focused on youth participation, inclusion, community engagement, and inclusive public spaces.
The project explores an important question:
How can young people contribute to creating communities and public spaces in which everyone feels represented, included, safe, and able to participate?
Public spaces are much more than streets, parks, squares, cultural venues, youth centres, and community facilities. They are places where people meet, communicate, participate in community life, and build a sense of belonging.
However, young people and different social groups do not always have equal opportunities to influence how these spaces are created, managed, and used.
Through the project, young people are encouraged to discuss these challenges, exchange experiences from their communities, develop ideas, and explore how youth participation can contribute to more inclusive local environments.
The activity in North Macedonia represents the second international activity within the project and provides another opportunity for participants from partner countries to meet, exchange practices, and work together.
MAIN TOPICS
During the international activity, participants will explore topics connected with:
- youth participation in local communities;
- social inclusion;
- inclusive public spaces;
- active citizenship;
- participation of young people in decision-making;
- accessibility and equal opportunities;
- community development;
- intercultural dialogue;
- cooperation between young people from different European countries;
- identifying challenges young people face in their local communities;
- developing ideas for more inclusive cities and communities.
The programme will combine non-formal education, group work, discussions, interactive workshops, intercultural exchange, and practical activities.
Participants will have the opportunity to share examples from Bosnia and Herzegovina while learning about experiences and approaches from North Macedonia, Poland, and Czechia.
