On 15 July 2026, a Youth4Values Online Talk was successfully held as part of the Youth4Values project, bringing together young people, youth workers, representatives of civil society organisations, public authorities, and other stakeholders from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Greece, and Spain (Canary Islands).
The session provided participants with a comprehensive overview of the Youth4Values – Youth for Democracy and Values project, highlighting its objectives, implemented activities, and the most significant results achieved throughout the project.
Particular attention was given to the project’s role in promoting democratic values, active citizenship, meaningful youth participation, human rights, inclusion, and stronger cooperation between young people and decision-makers.
During the event, participants learned more about the National Action Plans developed by young people from the partner countries, which identify key challenges affecting youth participation and propose practical recommendations for strengthening democratic engagement at the local, national, and European levels. The session also emphasised the importance of non-formal education as a tool for developing civic competences, critical thinking, teamwork, and active participation in community life.
The online discussion created an interactive space for participants to exchange experiences, share examples of good practice, and reflect on common challenges faced by young people across Europe. By encouraging dialogue and cross-border cooperation, the session contributed to strengthening international partnerships and increasing the visibility of youth-led initiatives that promote democratic participation and European values.
The Youth4Values Online Talk once again demonstrated the importance of creating opportunities for young people to connect, learn from one another, and actively contribute to building more inclusive, democratic, and participatory communities.
