U avgustu 2016. godine, predstavljajući organizaciju čiji sam volonter, imala sam priliku učestvovati u projektu pod nazivom ”EUROMED Express: Social Entrepreneurship and Culture of Peace”.

For many people, Erasmus+ projects imply fun, gaining new experiences, knowledge, spreading the circle of friends, as well as learning about differences in general. Nor my Erasmus experience is far from this caption. Nevertheless, I think that it is a big challenge to say the word worthy to present all that I had the chance to experience. One of my first Erasmus projects took place in Istanbul, Turkey. I could not imagine how many beautiful memories we can create by participating in a seven-day project.

In August 2016, representing the organization whose volunteer I still am, I had the opportunity to participate in a project called “EUROMED Express: Social Entrepreneurship and Culture of Peace”. 14 European, Asian and African countries took part and I am very proud of my contribution to this project. I had the opportunity to meet many different people from different parts of the world. This experience definitely changes your mind and helps you understand how cultural diversity is the greatest human resource. The team work exercises we had proved that, when it comes to communication, people with different cultures and religions, coming from countries that have even been enemies in their past history, can sit at the same table and forget about their differences. That is the most interesting thing when it comes to Erasmus+ projects. I have to mention my friends from Jordan, Palestine, Tunisia, Egypt, Macedonia, Lebanon, Hungary, Macedonia, Italy, Serbia, Turkey, Slovenia and Albania, with which I am still in contact. Some of them have already been in Sarajevo, and some are planning a visit to our country. Participating in these projects makes you an ambassador of your country and gives you the opportunity to spread your views and share your thoughts with people from countries you know little about, but after the project you become richer for a knowledge that is difficult to assemble in any other way! So, my advice to all youngsters is: Be active members of society and take advantage of Erasmus opportunity that will definitely change your life!

We made song as well, with lyrics:

ERASMUS ERASMUS

HOW GOOD ARE YOU

YOU MAKE ME TRAVEL

ALL THE EU

ERASMUS ERASMUS

HOW GOOD ARE YOU

EVERYTHING WITH YOU

IT’S ALWAYS NEW

ERASMUS ERASMUS

HOW GOOD ARE YOU

THE WORLD IS BETTER

THANKS TO YOU

ERASMUS ERASMUS

HOW GOOD ARE YOU

FOR MAKING EUROMED EXPRESS

PART OF OUR LIVES, TOO!

ERASMUS ERASMUS

HOW GOOD ARE YOU

GÜLE GÜLE*

FROM US TO YOU!

In October 2016. I saw an open call for the project which was the part of Erasmus+. To be completely honest, I was sceptical but the project was in Belgrade and I have some friends there so I decided to apply so I could see those friends. I didn’t know what to expect on the project but I heard a lot of positive experiences from my friends who had already taken part in that kind of projects. Still, what I experienced couldn’t compare to any experience I heard about. If someone asks me which part of the project was the best, I’m not sure what I would tell. Was it company, chance to learn something new, chance to see the new city or something else? Probably everything. I met great people from different countries and I’m glad to say that we talk even after half of the year. I learned a lot about different countries, about their cultures, but even about such an ordinary things; what those people do in their free time, about their dreams and what kind of people they want to be in the future. Did I mention that I started to care a lot about ecology after that project? I should thank for that to out great trainers who, even after the project, are there for whatever I need and who give me recommendations for the new projects where I can participate. I learned a lot about Erasmus+, EVS and other things that can help me in the future. With Erasmus+ I got a chance to travel, to meet the world and that is the greatest thing I had a chance to get.

Bio je to projekat pod nazivom „Touch for your future“ (Youth Exchange) u Turskoj, u Ankari.

More than two years ago I have applied for an Erasmus Project or Youth Exchange. Among other things,  I would like to highlight my first experience with Erasmus programs. I quite accidentally sent the Youth Exchange application. I was accepted as a participant in a project in Turkey, in Ankara. That’s how my Erasmus story started and my first experience in Erasmus programs and activities. It was a project called “Touch for your future” (Youth Exchange). During the project, we discussed current problems related to the refugee crisis, with special emphasis on children without parents. In addition to the activities during the project, I had the opportunity to meet new people from various countries of Europe, and at the same time one way to get to know the new culture, the city’s attractions and its sights. In my opinion, these are the most important things that make you happy, if you choose to participate in the international programs offered under the Erasmus program. I have enriched my experience in Erasmus programs by obtaining the Erasmus + scholarship, or the opportunity to study at the University of Jyvaskyla, Finland. It was a great opportunity to get acquainted with the way I studied in Finland and the unforgettable experience of staying six months outside of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It’s hard to find out all the benefits offered by Erasmus programs. Among other things, these are above all knowledge, experience, entertainment, new challenges, acquaintances and friendships. One of the things that I would like to mention are the friends I acquired during the numerous Erasmus programs. Currently, I have friends in more than 10 European countries. In the end I can say that I am looking forward to new programs, new activities and youth exchanges in the hope of enriching my knowledge and experience and acquiring new skills.
