U nedjelju, 14. 07. 2024., uz podršku organizacije BRAVO BiH , svečano je otvoren šestodnevni ljetni kamp za članove Huskies Basketball Academy Sarajevo. Kamp se održava na predivnoj lokaciji, Sportsko-rekreativnom centru Ajdinovići, gdje će članovi svakodnevno uživati u raznovrsnim aktivnostima i sadržajima.

On July 18th and 19th, the BRAVO office in Sarajevo hosted a special in-person training for the NURTURE project. Participants who were eager to improve their career counseling skills and learn how to become better mentors attended this two-day workshop, which will help advance the NURTURE project’s goals in the Western Balkans.

Guided by a consortium of experts in inclusive education, textile design, and entrepreneurship from Slovenia (Taka Tuka), Sweden (Drivhuset), Egypt (Galala University and Fashion & Design Center), Bosnia and Herzegovina (BRAVO), Albania (Albanian Skills and Albania Craftsman Education), 25 young people are working together to learn about sustainable practices in the fashion industry and to enhance both their entrepreneurial and upcycling skills. These experts serve as mentors who provide support, guidance, and feedback to the participants throughout the development process.

Nations share a rich tapestry of history and culture, with traditional sports and games being fundamental threads in that tapestry. However, as globalization and technological advancements sweep across the globe, these cherished traditions are at risk of fading into obscurity, overshadowed by modern sports and entertainment.

The general aim of the project is to prevent homophobic cyber-bullying among young people: a form of bullying that takes place over digital devices and platforms like mobile phones, computers, social media and tablets perpetrated against LGBTQI youth (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and intrasexual).

This project aims to cultivate prosocial behavior rooted in responsiveness, mutual assistance, compassion, cooperation, and collaboration. Our focus will be on fostering empathy, understanding others, and above all, on discovering ways of active participation in social life. Its main activity (mobility) takes place in Sarajevo in Bosnia & Herzegovina.

“My Erasmus experience in Sarajevo was nothing short of transformative. It was a privilege to showcase Sarajevo’s rich cultural tapestry and hospitality to fellow participants from around the world. Being able to share my heritage and traditions with others not only deepened my own appreciation for my culture but also fostered meaningful connections and understanding among us.”

Our volunteers are organizing creative workshops like painting, knitting, and cooking. These activities aren’t just about learning new skills, they have much deeper meaning, to give seniors a chance to express themselves and meantime to have fun.

As global environmental challenges intensify, Bosnia, Poland, and North Macedonia are uniting to champion sustainability through the principles of the circular economy, plastic craftwork, and co-design. This collaborative project aims to foster eco-friendly innovation and community empowerment by drawing inspiration from successful initiatives in other countries, such as Tunisia’s vibrant second-hand clothing industry. Building on each country’s unique strengths and perspectives, this partnership aims to create a model of sustainable development that can be replicated elsewhere.

The primary objective of this project is to support young people from diverse cultural backgrounds in enhancing their intercultural competence. By providing them with the tools and opportunities to engage with and learn from one another, the project aims to foster an environment of mutual respect and understanding. Central to the project’s approach is the development of guidelines for using music as a non-formal learning method.

In 2020, Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) formalized its commitment to the circular economy by adopting the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans, a roadmap aligned with the European Green Deal to achieve climate neutrality and environmental sustainability. According to the European Parliament, circular economy refers to the practice of “sharing, leasing, reusing, repairing, refurbishing and recycling existing materials and products as long as possible.”

The objective of this method is to improve the learner’s learning level by allowing him, through the use of images, to better understand ideas, define objectives, identify problems and generate new concepts and it is particularly effective for those who have cognitive peculiarities such as dyslexic people.

Upcycling is the transformative process of turning waste materials, unwanted products, or by-products into new, higher-value items. Unlike traditional recycling, which often involves breaking down materials into their basic components for the creation of new products, the term “upcycling” was coined in 1994 by German engineer Reiner Pliz who explains in the British monthly magazine “Salvo,” “I call recycling down-cycling. What we need is up-cycling, thanks to which old products are given a higher, not a lower, value.”

We want to create a conducive environment for profound intercultural dialogues among young participants. We seek to foster mutual respect, understanding, and an appreciation for the richness of diversity. Through structured discussions and engaging activities, our goal is to equip young individuals with the skills and knowledge required to navigate a multicultural world successfully.

The general objective of the project is to increase the employability of women between 18 and 30 years old from rural backgrounds, through the acquisition of digital communication skills, to be employed in the field of non-profit organizations.

In an effort to mitigate the adverse effects of the global overproduction and overconsumption of manufactured products, more and more local initiatives of sustainability and circular economy are emerging. Such endeavors are also meant to foster a better social inclusion of individuals engaging in these enterprises. In the broad context of the present-day environmental crisis, art can be used as a means to draw attention towards the risks of depleting our resources of raw materials in an unsustainable way.
