Participating in an Erasmus+ youth exchange through BRAVO BiH in Romania was a kind experience. There were youth from seven different countries who all came with the same or similar interests and centered on the crucial theme of health, healthy lifestyles, and habits as well as the critical issue of addiction. When I first stepped into the hotel, I could feel inclusivity and diversity. One of the first people I met made me realize I was safe and accepted. Meeting young people from divergent spots in Europe exposed me to the world’s wonders. We all came from diverse backgrounds, speaking different languages, and having unique traditions yet this project brought us all together. Health Up youth exchange was marvelously designed; the activities, workshops, and discussions deepened our understanding of health-related topics, even so also practiced them by cooking meals from our home countries and sharing traditions. It was somewhat refreshing and fascinating to see how our cultural practices can contribute to healthier lifestyles. The discussions on addiction were impactful and allowed us to share personal stories with no judgment. Perhaps the most lasting impression from the exchange was new and long-lasting friendships. Through this project, not only did we learn about health but also each other, breaking down stereotypes. Finally, my participation in the Erasmus+ youth exchange was an enlightening and far-reaching experience. It illustrated the incredible potential of international collaboration in addressing global issues. I am grateful for the opportunity to learn from both trainers and individuals and I am inspired to take everything gained during this exchange to make a positive impact in my community.
