ABOUT THE PROJECT
We are thrilled to announce the OPEN CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS for the European Solidarity Corps volunteer opportunity with Explorator Association, which will take place in Craiova, Romania.This is a 6-month program starting from April 2025.
“Inclusivity Unlocked” is a podcast where young people and key figures from the cultural scene in Craiova engage in conversations about diversity, inclusion in education, the workplace, cultural spaces, gender equality, the challenges faced by emigrants, and international experiences. Hosted by Association Explorator, this project focuses on creating a podcast about inclusion and developing social media content related to ESC. We are particularly looking for volunteers with skills in video and audio production, editing, and social media management. Additionally, we welcome individuals who feel comfortable speaking in front of the camera to contribute to podcast and video content creation.
Main activities of volunteers within the “Inclusivity Unlocked” project:
- Assist in developing the infrastructure for the “Inclusivity Unlocked” podcast
- Conduct research, filming, and editing for the podcast
- Development of social networks of the association – Instagram, YouTube, TikTok
- Promote ESC and E+ opportunities within the community
PARTICIPANT PROFILE
- Age: 18–30 years old
- Eligibility: Must not have completed a long-term EVS or ESC
- Language Skills: Medium-level English (speaking and writing) required
- Additional widely-used international languages are a plus for some activities
- Highly motivated to participate and actively engaged in the selection process
- Willing to take on project tasks and responsibilities, remaining involved even after the project’s completion
- Previous volunteering/work experience locally or internationally is a plus, particularly relevant to project activities
ACCOMMODATION, FOOD & TRAVEL
– Accommodation: Volunteers will be accommodated in basic apartments, featuring shared bathrooms and kitchens. The apartments are mixed-gender, but rooms are assigned based on gender
– Financial Support: Monthly stipends for food, transportation and pocket money.
– Transport: A monthly local bus pass will be provided to each volunteer, covering their travel within the city
– Working Hours: 9:00 – 17:00 from Monday to Friday.
– Target Groups: Local youth, children and the broader community.
NOTE: We cannot accommodate volunteers who prioritize high living standards, as this may not align with the nature of the opportunity
