ABOUT THE HOST ORGANIZATION
CoHousing Budapest is an association focused on community housing. Our diverse members—across professions, interests, and family backgrounds—are united by a shared knowledge and experience of cohousing.
Since 2012, many have worked on the topic through the informal group Living in Community and other volunteer efforts. To realize cohousing in Hungary, 15 founding members established the association in fall 2019.
We aim to create inclusive, sustainable living environments that foster cooperation and mutual support. Through events, workshops, and advocacy, we promote cohousing as a viable alternative to traditional housing models in Hungary. Our goal is to build not only homes, but real communities.
PROJECT ACTIVITIES
- Support the association’s running projects with general assistance
- Draft social media posts for Facebook and Instagram
- Participate in the association’s events
- Support content development for the association’s website
- Work on individual project ideas, such as:
-A documentary on communal living
-Articles on cohousing architecture
-A photography series on communal living

- The accommodation costs are covered. Volunteers will live in modern, Downtown apartments, in shared flat and shared rooms.
- Each month volunteer’s receive a total of 120.000 HUF for pocket and food money.
