We are pleased to announce the selected participants for the Training Course “Being a Youth Worker in the Shadow of Wars”, which will take place from April 17th to April 26th, 2026, in Bursa, Turkey.

 

This project, hosted in collaboration with partner organizations and with the sending organization BRAVO, is supported and co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme. The training course brings together youth workers, young people with fewer opportunities, and supporting staff from multiple countries to strengthen their capacities in working with young people affected by war and conflict.

Selected Participants

Representing BRAVO and Bosnia and Herzegovina, the following individuals have been selected to take part in this international training course:

  2. Ines Hasanagic

The participants were selected based on their motivation, relevant experience, interest in the project’s themes, and readiness to actively contribute to the learning process and future project outcomes.

About the Project

“Being a Youth Worker in the Shadow of Wars” is an Erasmus+ KA153 Youth Workers Mobility project designed to strengthen the professional capacities of youth workers who support young people affected by war and conflict.

 

The project gathers 30 participants from different countries and focuses on developing practical skills and knowledge through:

 

  • Capacity-building training workshops for youth workers
  • Practical workshops and best practice examples from civil society organizations
  • Study visits and field-based learning experiences
  • Trauma awareness and psychosocial support methods
  • Social inclusion and youth work in crisis and conflict contexts

Participants will engage in intensive, practice-oriented activities aimed at improving the quality and impact of youth work, while also fostering international cooperation and exchange of experiences.

 

The program emphasizes active participation, peer learning, and the development of tools that participants can later apply within their local communities.

Participant Profile

The project is designed for participants who:

 

  • Want to better understand how to communicate and work with people in need
  • Are interested in inclusive approaches in youth work
  • Want to develop skills for crisis situations and conflict contexts
  • Are open to working in an international environment
  • Are motivated for intensive learning experiences
  • Have at least a basic level of English communication

Important Notes

  • Accommodation, meals, and local transportation are fully covered during the project.
  • Travel expenses will be reimbursed after the project, in accordance with Erasmus+ rules.
  • Participants are expected to actively engage in all activities throughout the duration of the training.
