“Second chance is the first youth exchange I have participated in and it was definitely one to remember. We spent 7 days learning about materials, where they come from and how to reuse and up-cycle them. I appreciated that we had many practical workshops through which I definitely learned some new and interesting skills. There was a lot of free time we had that we could use to get to know the city, spend with the group or individually, which definitely made this youth exchange very fun and unique, being that there was a perfect balance between work and fun.”  Azra Jašarević
“I would like to thank the project organizers and everyone who participated. My days spent in Albania were fantastic and unforgettable. I had the opportunity to learn about the fashion industry, what it represents, and its significance. We also had the chance to recycle jeans and make various items from them. Additionally, I got to meet incredibly young and promising people from Albania, Slovenia, Egypt, and Sweden. I made new acquaintances and had a great time. This is one of the best projects I have participated in. Albania will remain a special memory for me.” – Tarik Sinanović
“My time in Albania was absolutely incredible! I had the chance to meet people from different countries like Albania, Slovenia, Egypt, and Sweden. We delved into the fascinating world of fashion, exploring denim, recycling, design concepts, and sustainable materials. It was eye-opening! The best part was connecting with so many amazing individuals and working on a project together. I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue this journey, learning new skills and expanding my horizons in the fashion industry. Albania will forever hold a special place in my heart!” – Maid Nalić
“This was my first project, and it was better than I could have hoped. My time in Albania is something I will cherish forever. The project itself was exceptionally well-organized and there was a good balance between work and free time. The activities were great and they were able to include everyone in the work. We engaged in meaningful discussions, workshops, and collaborative projects. The hotel we stayed at was wonderful. Tirana is such a beautiful city, there is so much to do and we only got to experience a little bit of it. Their people are some of the most welcoming people I’ve ever had the pleasure to encounter. Overall, my experience in Albania was exceptional, and I am beyond grateful.” – Lamija Hodžić
“During my stay in Tirana, I spent my mornings and afternoons developing new DIY skills – namely, repurposing old denim (“upcycling”). We were separated into groups and each group created their products. I chose a bucket hat, as it’s the simplest project for a beginner in sewing. We developed both theoretical and practical skills. I learned how to use a sewing machine, pattern, troubleshoot, and denim history. We had plenty of free time to explore Tirana and Durres. We explored landmarks, traditional restaurants, old coffee shops, thrift shops, and bakeries. Besides exploring, I made new friends and expanded my Albanian vocabulary. I gained a lot from this experience, for which I am immensely grateful.” – Hana Kovačević
