BRAVO BiH

Being a part of this project in Gijon was life changing. It changed my perspective on so many things, in the best possible way. I’ve learned a lot about people from all over the world, but also about myself. It taught me that inclusion isn’t just something that you learn about – it is something you feel. Even though all of us came from different backgrounds, we gradually learned how much we’re all alike and just how much we all have in common.

We had plenty of time to explore the city, get to know each other and make connections that will last a lifetime. Every workshop and day there made me see how small changes can make a big impact in the world. We had the opportunity to talk with the local people and see how their culture is different from ours, but also the things we have in common (friendliness being one of them).

The project taught me to be more open, understanding and overall kind. I came back home with a lot of new, special memories, people I’m thrilled to be able to call my new friends and a whole new perspective on life. I’m lucky to have been a part of this amazing experience and grateful for the opportunities it opened.

The time spent in Spain learning about inclusivity was one of the most wonderful experiences I have ever had. Gijon, a city truly dedicated to inclusivity, showed this in every corner; just by walking around we were able to see and experience an inclusive community. We were given many tasks related to inclusivity in our own countries and in the city we were staying in, Gijon. We were also tasked with talking to the locals about their knowledge of Erasmus+, the Youthpass certificate, inclusivity in general and in the city of Gijon. We gained precious insight and were able to talk to wonderful locals of Gijon.

What made the experience even more rewarding was the fact that I got to meet people from all over the world who shared the same passion for creating a more inclusive society. Their knowledge, creativity, and experiences were very inspiring, and I was really fortunate to have had such an opportunity to be part of this diverse and welcoming community. In the evenings, culture nights showcased the unique history of every country with their particular food, dances, and drinks. These nights gave us a very rare view of the personal side of each country, insight into aspects we may not find upon actually visiting the country. We also had plenty of free time to explore Gijon, a coastal city in Northern Spain. Its history and beauty felt even more special when explored with these amazing people from all over the world.– Hana

My Erasmus+ experience in Gijón, Spain was full of contrasts. The project itself could have been implemented more effectively — some parts felt unstructured and didn’t fully reach their potential. Still, the overall experience turned out to be much more than the project alone. I had the chance to meet people from different backgrounds, share ideas, and see how others approach challenges and collaboration.

I experienced a lot outside the official activities — through conversations, situations and the people I met along the way. Even with its flaws, the project offered space for reflection, growth, and connection in ways I didn’t expect.– Merjem

This Erasmus journey showed me all the wonders of Spain. The experience I value the most was the opportunity to talk to the local people who are lucky enough to live in the city of Gijón. It’s truly the most magnificent city I’ve ever had the chance to visit. We participated in various workshops and discussions on finding solutions for people with disabilities. The various countries including Bosnia and Herzegovina, Spain, Turkey, Georgia and Hungary made an incredible team. We tried to find similarities between our countries, learn about each other’s cultures and share our own.

The whole project bonded us and gave us memories we will cherish for a lifetime. We laughed, learned, created and bonded throughout the entire process. I will always cherish this experience and hope we have the chance to meet again in other countries.– Ema

After every project I have an urge to use a sentence “It was a dream come true”, and I think it’s the best way to describe this experience. Being able to make a change in the world, even the smallest one, while meeting some amazing people across the globe is the main goal of Erasmus+ experience, and as always it’s accomplished. It feels so rewarding to have an opportunity to broaden our minds, change the world, travel, make new friends and so much more in such an inspiring environment.

On this particular project I had a chance to meet some amazing people from five different countries 🇧🇦🇭🇺🇬🇪🇪🇦🇹🇷, discuss the topic of inclusivity, (dis)ability and search for ways to improve lives of disabled people. The project took place in a beautiful coastal town of Gijón, in Northern Spain, and the beauty of that place ignited our inspiration, energy and dedication. I believe that the friendships and memories made there will stay with me for life, and that Gijón will be the place I will gladly come back to. – Tatjana
