“I had the honor to be chosen to participate in the training course “Media Literacy and Tackling Disinformation” in Istanbul. This topic is really important for everyone as we are surrounded by a lot of new information daily, and being able to identify what is true is crucial. Other participants were easy-going and interested in learning as I was, the workshops were engaging and the overall experience was amazing. Learning how to recognise fake news, how to identify bias through interesting games, was at the same time useful and entertaining. I am really grateful for this opportunity as it has not only provided me with useful knowledge, but it was also a place where I made friends for life.” – Berina Juković
“Hello, my name is Alen Milenković and I come from Bosnia and Herzegovina. I am honoured to be chosen by BRAVO to represent Bosnia and Herzegovina at the training course “Media Literacy and Tackling Disinformation” in Istanbul, Türkiye. I recognise that now more than ever people are being controlled and brainwashed by fake news spread all over social media platforms all of us use every day. That’s why I decided to apply for this training course during which I’ve learnt deeper about identifying and fact checking news and articles, and created guides, campaigns and materials on how to distinguish fake news from truthful ones. During this one-week training I have met many new peers and created connections that will last for a long time. It has also given me a chance to explore Türkiye and Istanbul with some great new friends.” – Alen Milenković
