ABOUT THE PROJECT
The YouthInnoSport project was developed in response to the growing need to support young people’s employability and entrepreneurial skills through innovative and engaging tools such as sport. In recent years, challenges like youth unemployment, lack of motivation, and limited access to non-formal learning opportunities have become significant issues across Europe, particularly after the COVID-19 crisis, which reversed much of the progress made in youth employment.
Believing that sport and entrepreneurship share similar dynamics, strategies, and mindsets, the project aims to use the energy, discipline, teamwork, and perseverance found in sports as powerful tools for developing entrepreneurial thinking
among young people. Both athletes and entrepreneurs pursue excellence, face challenges with determination, and learn
from failure, values that are essential for personal and professional growth.
Through this youth exchange, participants from seven European countries will explore how skills learned through sport, such
as leadership, teamwork, strategic thinking, and self-motivation can be transferred to entrepreneurship and everyday life. The project also seeks to promote intercultural learning, solidarity, and inclusion, encouraging young people from diverse
backgrounds to collaborate and inspire each other.
PROJECT OBJECTIVES
- To develop entrepreneurial mindset and skills among 37 young participants and youth leaders through non-formal education and sport-based activities.
- To strengthen intercultural learning and cooperation among youth from 8 different European countries, promoting tolerance, solidarity, and inclusion.
- To increase employability by helping young people gain competencies such as leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, and strategic thinking.
- To explore the links between sport and entrepreneurship, discovering how sports discipline, motivation, and resilience can be applied to business and everyday challenges.
- To promote healthy lifestyles and social responsibility, encouraging participants to be active citizens in their communities.
- To create long-term international cooperation between youth organizations working on entrepreneurship and sport education across Europe.
- To introduce Erasmus+ and Youthpass as tools.
