Goals and Objectives
GOAL: To empower young people to understand democracy in today’s digital world and actively participate in shaping their communities both online and offline.
OBJECTIVES:
- Strengthen understanding of democracy, participation, and youth engagement in modern societies.
- Explore digital citizenship and how young people can use online tools for civic action.
- Develop critical thinking and awareness of misinformation and digital influence.
- Encourage intercultural dialogue and exchange of perspectives between participants.
- Support young people to turn ideas into actions in their local communities.
About the Erasmus+ programme
Erasmus+ is the European Union programme supporting education, youth and sport. Youth Exchanges allow young people from different countries to meet, learn from each other and develop competences through non-formal education.
Youth Exchanges bring together young people from different countries to:

- learn through non-formal education
- explore new cultures
- develop skills for life
Profile of the Participants
- Age Requirement: 20 – 29 years old (Group leaders have NO age limit).
- Group Composition: Each group consists of 4 participants and 1 Group Leader, totaling 5 individuals.
- Dissemination and Follow-up: Encourage local sharing of project outcomes during dissemination and follow-up activities.
- Active Participation: Collaborate, share ideas, present, and express yourself openly.
- Openness to Diversity: Embrace diverse cultures and viewpoints.
- Full Participation: Ensure availability for all activities; exceptions are limited to emergencies, illness, or single urgent work/school tasks.
- Collective Responsibility: Maintain cleanliness as a collective duty; all participants must assist with daily cleaning to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
- Adaptability: Participants should be open-minded and prepared to stay in a scout hut within a forest, sharing bedrooms with up to 5-8 people, and be prepared for nature
Participants who are motivated by the project theme and the cultural experiences offered, not those expecting tourism or hotel-like experiences. Please be aware that we will be staying in a scout cabin with very limited Wi-Fi access.
About the Hosting Organization
CYN is a non-governmental organization established in Denmark in 2012. We are dedicated to promoting social inclusion by breaking stereotypes and nurturing solidarity, intercultural awareness, and education and job-related competencies for youths in Denmark and beyond.
Through the collaboration of young and talented individuals, we aim to share knowledge, build networks, and enhance trans-European relations with a specific focus on communication. Our efforts are geared towards strengthening European unity and identity, as well as advancing social inclusion and intercultural awareness and competencies.
Venue
We will be staying in a Scout Cabin (address: Almagerbakke 28, 3660 Stenløse) near Copenhagen City, surrounded by a forest and close to amenities like a supermarket and a small lake. Facilities include a bonfire, indoor fireplace, football field, jogging tracks, and a spacious terrace.
Please note that men and women will sleep separately, with sleeping arrangements based on gender divisions of 4, 5, or 8 in each room. Toilets, bathrooms, and showers are also gender-separated. Please bring your own bath towels, bed linen, sheets, and cases, as well as toiletries and personal items. CYN will provide pillows and blankets.
Participants will be provided with transportation details closer to the event date. The venue is conveniently located near Copenhagen, with the nearest airport being Copenhagen International Airport (Kastrup lufthavn). Upon arrival, participants will be picked up by private cars from Værløse station
