ABOUT THE PROJECT
The “Feminism is for Everybody” training course aims to empower youth workers from across Europe and neighboring regions to integrate feminist values and gender equality principles into their work with young people. This project recognizes the persistent challenges of gender inequality, ingrained patriarchal norms, and societal double standards that continue to affect individuals globally. By equipping participants with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to engage in meaningful discussions and implement feminist strategies, the training seeks to create a ripple effect of positive change within communities.
Through a blend of interactive sessions, hands-on activities, and expert-led workshops, participants will delve into the foundations of feminism, explore critical topics like representation, gender-based violence, and invisible labor, and develop practical tools to advocate for equality. This project is designed to support those at the beginning of their feminist journey, fostering a new generation of youth workers ready to challenge societal norms and inspire transformative action.
OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT
- Build the capacity of youth workers to integrate feminist values and gender equality principles in their personal and professional lives.
- Enhance participants’ understanding of feminism, its history, core principles, and common misconceptions.
- Develop practical skills to design and implement feminist strategies within youth organizations.
- Empower participants to facilitate discussions on gender equality and address sensitive topics such as gender-based violence, societal norms, and representation.
- Equip youth workers with tools to advocate for feminist causes through online campaigns, workshops, and community engagement.
- Foster a supportive learning environment to inspire confidence and motivation among participants at the start of their feminist journey.
PARTICIPANTS PROFILE
We are looking for:
- Members or close collaborators of active youth organizations with a valid OID number (staff or active members, paid or unpaid).
- Enthusiastic youth workers motivated to work on feminist topics.
- High personal motivation/passion for the feminist cause.
- Good command of the English language.
- Participants older than 18 with legal residence in the country where they reside.
Important:
This training is designed for those at the beginning of their feminist journey or who want to develop competencies (knowledge, skills, attitudes) to become strong feminist advocates.
ACCOMMODATION, FOOD & TRAVEL
- Board and Lodging: Fully covered during the training period in shared rooms (2–3 people).
- Meals: Vegan and vegetarian options only, served buffet-style.
- Visa and Related Expenses: 100% covered upon submission of financial documentation.
