“Empowering Youth Workers through Sport” is a mobility of youth workers project that aims to teach youth workers how to use sport as a tool for inclusion and to share good practices, thereby increasing the professional and operational capacity of youth workers. Sport is a powerful tool for breaking down social barriers, bringing people together, and building a more inclusive world, regardless of age, gender, race, culture, religion, and ability. It can help young people develop their social and cultural skills. It is also a symbol of the richness and diversity of our society. It can also help them develop a stronger understanding of other people. The training course is an opportunity to learn about teamwork and networking, to share our experiences and methods to overcome the main challenges we face in our organizations and networks.
This training course is designed to develop effective and innovative methods to address inclusion and diversity both locally and in European countries, to share, discuss and brainstorm good practices of inclusion and diversity in sport, and to develop the ability to work in a team and with other organizations in a network. This project will gather a total of 27 youth workers from 5 countries and 6 organizations and they will have the opportunity to experience new methods and techniques. At the end of the project, the methods, techniques, and good practice examples used in this training course will be prepared as an e-book and will be shared through Salto Youth and Erasmus+ Result Platform. In this way, it will inspire other civil society organizations, especially sports clubs, youth workers, and youth leaders working in the field of inclusion and diversity, and will provide opportunities to establish new projects and partnerships.
During the project participants will be hosted in Teacher’s House in Zonguldak Province. There will be different rooms and 3 participants will stay in the room. The facility will be equipped with all necessary technical facilities. The hosting organization will cover all costs related to accommodation and food (3 meals per day; breakfast, lunch & supper, warm drinks in coffee breaks).
We will get back to you as soon as possible!
