SUMMARY
Project description:
Combating Hate Speech by Art and Creative Writing aims to raise capacities of the partners to apply creative writing and art to combat online and offline hate speech.
Project Objectives:
To develop competencies of youth workers and educators to design and deliver activities based on creative writing and art aiming to fight online and offline hate speech especially targeting young people;
To raise competencies of youth workers and educators to apply creative writing and art in the process of raising awareness on online and offline hate speech;
To transfer lessons learned from international to national level through capacity building activities and to raise awareness on online and offline hate speech among involved communities.
To increase knowledge of the participants and partners on Erasmus + Programme and to support development of new project ideas at local, national and international level.
Main aim of the TC:
Main aim of this training course is to increase competencies of the participants to apply art and creative writing tools at their work. The participants would have possibility to create plans for transferring these tools and methods to their daily realities. Moreover, they will share their practices on raising awareness of local communities, especially young people, on hate speech. At the end of second training course the participants will brainstorm ideas for future projects and develop action plans for their implementation.
Methodology:
The project will be based on non-formal education and will reflect the following features: active participation, learner-centred, balanced co-existence and interaction between cognitive, affective and practical dimensions of learning, holistic and process – oriented and close to real-life concerns, using intercultural exchanges and encounters as learning devices.
This project has 3 main activties: Two training courses and capacity building activities. The info on this document is for the training course number II.

Priority will be given to the participants who demonstrate eagerness and abilities to promote project in their community and organize follow-up activities.
It is very important to keep gender balance when you do the participants selection. Please follow the table below! In case of changes inform the organizers in advance.

INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL
Thessaloniki has an International Airport called “Makedonia” (SKG). You can also reach Thessaloniki by bus and train.
During the training course, a minivan will be provided by the hotel for transportation to and from the city center. The bus departs from the Archeological Museum of Thessaloniki.
Please be informed your travel expenses will be covered just in the case that you will provide us originals travel tickets (bus, train), invoices and your boarding passes based on travel distance maximum limit provided by European Commision.
Health insurance is NOT provided by the host organization.
Travel cost for participants from Bosnia and Herzegovina – 275 EUR
ACCOMMODATION AND FOOD
The accommodation is 100% covered by Erasmus+ Programme.
The project will take place in city called Thessaloniki.
You will be accommodated in Hotel: Philippion Hotel Adresse: Seih Sou Forest, Thessaloniki Greece Hotel Telephone number: 00302310203320
The hotel is situated in the city 10 mins drive from the city center.
Be prepared to be accommodated with 2 OR 3 people in rooms. The hotel is nice and each room is equipped with a bathroom, TV.
Meals are served in the hotel restaurant.
Our working room is in the hotel as well.
There is a free wireless connection in the working room and in the lobby.
Please take with you comfortable shoes and clothes, it will be helpful for our outdoor activities and during the workshops. Before come to take a look at www.weather.com
OTHER IMPORTANT STUFF
Preparation and what to bring:
The weather is estimated to be relatively cold between 10-15oC. However, all over the year in Greece, there is plenty of sunshine, and therefore we recommend bringing with you your sunglasses.
–Outfit: Casual
–Masks: As it is obligatory to use them inside the hotel and during indoor sessions/meetings.
–Medicines: Pack with you the medicines that you are taking, as well as Medicines for fever that you are used to.
– Intercultural evening: Presentation of your country, community, region (whatever you think is close to your cultural identity) in the most creative way possible (like pictures, cultural objects and crafts, personal pictures etc.) Don’t forget to bring foods and drinks!!!!!
-NGO fair: Materials to present your organization as leaflets, booklets, posters etc.
