AIM

The aim of this project is to support the professional development of youth workers, coordinators, leaders and mentors in the field of emotional intelligence, in the context of international volunteering projects.

Emotional intelligence or EI is the ability to understand and manage your own emotions, and those of the people around you. People with a high degree of emotional intelligence know what they’re feeling, what their emotions mean, and how these emotions can affect other people.

For leaders, having emotional intelligence is essential for success. After all, who is more likely to succeed – a leader who shouts at his team when he’s under stress, or a leader who stays in control, and calmly assesses the situation?

According to Daniel Goleman, an American psychologist who helped to popularize emotional intelligence, there are five key elements to it:

1. Self-awareness.
2. Self-regulation.
3. Motivation.
4. Empathy.
5. Social skills.

The more that you, as a leader, manage each of these areas, the higher your emotional intelligence. So, let’s look at each element in more detail and examine how you can grow as a leader.

The training will take place in Daruvar – a small, lovely city in central Croatia and our venue will be Hotel Arcadia, situated in a historical park of the city of Daruvar. Participants will be accommodated in shared rooms with one or two other people from the group. Seminar room is within the hotel. Meals and coffee breaks will be provided at the hotel. Each room has a bathroom with hairdryer. Towels will be provided.

TRAVEL TO CROATIA

Participants can stay in Croatia max 2 days out of the project dates. All the costs that occur out of the project dates will not be covered by organizers.

Please note that the travel cost will be reimbursed on the real cost basis up to the maximum amount that stated in the table, in accordance with Erasmus+ program rules. In case of exceeding the maximum amount per person, participant should cover the difference.

It is recommended to obtain travel health insurance which will cover period of your stay in Croatia. For the participants coming from the EU member states it is recommended to obtain European Health Insurance Card. Insurance costs are not eligible for reimbursement.

HOW TO APPLY?

1. Complete the BRAVO- APPLICATION FORM in English title as following ”name of the project you are applying for” until 23:59 on deadline day.
2. Deadline for applying: 10.07.2020 
3. Selection results: 13.07.2020.
4. PARTICIPATION FEE: 
   – BRAVO volunteers/members – NO PAX FEE
   – External BiH participants– 25€ for selected people
   – For other organizations, all selected participants need to contact sending organization via email.
