BRAVO BiH

BRAVO BiH recently hosted a National Seminar on Young People and the Labor Market as part of the EU-funded NURTURE project. The event brought together youth to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing young people in today’s job market.

A Platform for Dialogue and Solutions

The seminar served as a national platform to exchange knowledge, present research findings, and identify concrete actions to improve youth employability. It was addressed pressing issues such as skills mismatches, limited work experience, and the need for more structured pathways from education to employment.

Interactive sessions allowed participants to explore innovative approaches to career development, with a particular focus on the role of NGOs as employers and skills-builders. Attendees learned how NGOs can act as stepping stones for young professionals, offering mentorship, volunteer placements, and apprenticeship programs that strengthen both technical and soft skills.

Linked to the NURTURE Project’s Mission

The seminar was an integral activity of the NURTURE project, which aims to connect young people with the NGO sector and equip them with the tools they need to enter and thrive in the labor market.

In Bosnia and Herzegovina, NURTURE has established a National Support Point (NSP) to provide ongoing career guidance, access to mentoring, and opportunities for practical work experience. The project also promotes the Career Counselling Toolbox and Mentoring Guide Toolbox, helping both youth and NGOs develop sustainable career pathways.
