Urgent call for 1 participant from B&H for TC from 21-28 March 2018 Prizren, Kosovo

In the name of Udruzenje Mladi za Mir – Udruga Mladi za Mir – Bosnia and Herzegovina we announce call for 1 participant from B&H with Croatian or any other passport who doesn’t require VISA for Kosovo.

Just in the special situations we are searching for the people from BiH with Croatian passport because of VISA issue.  Training will be held from 21-28 March 2018 in Prizren, Kosovo

Transport from BiH to the Prizren is organized by sending organization from B&H. You will go by MINIVAN with 2 other Bosnian participants. Accommodation, food and materials are covered by European Commission through Erasmus+ programme.

10 countries will take part at TC: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Germany, Italy, Kosovo*, Romania, Serbia, the FYRoM.

Objectives of the project:

The overall aim of the project is to create a learning space and practice for employability and personal development tools, methods and practices to be used by those working with young people (in any capacity: formal, non-formal, vocational, etc.) so as to support them in pursing diverse career prospects. This aim will be achieved by means of fulfilling the following objectives:
 Improving the participants’ competences required in facilitating personal and professional development of young people they work with
 Providing space for sharing of experiences and good practices in the subject matter (here in particular: development of key life and employability skills)
 Gaining first-hand experience in a number  of personal and professional development tools
 Empower participants in acting as multipliers so as to build up to the experience gained during the project and having it spread to relevant stakeholders afterwards
 Exploring possibilities for future cooperation among participants and partner promoters engaged.

The Training Course:

The TRAINING COURSE (21-28 March) will take place in Prizren, Kosovo and will gather 30 participants, 4 facilitators/trainers and 2 staff members coming together to gain skills, knowledge and develop necessary attitudes related to supporting young people in working on their personal development and further increasing employability skills. The training will be based on the principles of learning by doing where those attending will have the opportunity to step into the shoes of their learners and try out some of the personal and professional development tools upon themselves. This experience will be crucial when carried forward to the successive stages of the project. Finally, participants will benefit from the presence of external experts who will shed light on the latest developments within the area.

What to bring with you:

– Please prepare a short description of your organization in English for the presentation to other participants. You will have 5 minutes for your organisation’s presentation. It is recommended to be as much creative as you can get in doing the presentation without using any PPT.
– You are encouraged to bring photos, brochures, newspapers or anything that can present activities of your organization.
– We will have Intercultural evenings! Bring some snacks, drinks, performances and stories from your countries. Power point presentations and prezis are strictly prohibited on this TC.
– Take some good mood and enthusiasm

VENUE

The Training Course will be held in Prizren, Kosovo, a small city of around 180,000 inhabitants. Prizren is known as a true open air museum, one of the most beautiful towns of Kosova. It is situated on the slopes of the Sharr Mountains and on the banks of the river Lumbardhi/Bistrica. Prizren is recognized as one of the most important cities of the country, thanks to its cultural heritage and its geographical position situated below National Park of Sharr Mountains, on the border of a fertile plain. Prizren’s delightful city center is the bestpreserved and the most picturesque in Kosovo, with a good collection of religious and profane buildings and quaint residential
quarters, all within close range of each other. The city’s long tradition of religious and ethnic tolerance is apparent in the close proximity of Catholic and Orthodox churches, mosques and tekkes, many of them hundreds of years old. Prizren and surrounding region are famous also for the extraordinary range of different breads produced baked in traditional manner. The currency used in Kosovo is Euro.

ACCOMODATION

The Training Course will be held in Prizren, Kosovo and you will be accommodated in Hotel Alvida. The place has all the necessary facilities for developing a qualitative project and making your stay comfortable. Three meals per day and 2 coffee breaks will be served in the hotel, respecting your dietary needs and making sure you receive freshly cooked food.
– You will be accommodated with 2-3 persons in rooms. The hotel offers free wireless.
– The participants will be mixed nationalities in rooms in order to get to know and learn more about each other. The rooms will be separated for males and females.
– Beds linen and bath towels are provided, and if you need a hairdryer, please ask for it to the hotel staff, as those are not installed in the bathrooms.
– You will need to bring your own shampoo, soap, tooth brush and tooth paste, and any other personal hygiene items you need.

Participants will be able to reach the hotel themselves, as they will be accompanied by the group leaders who already know the venue. For more, Hotel Alvida is in a perfect location around 10 minutes walking distance from the city center and only 5 minutes from the bus station. Exit the bus station and turn right on the main road. At the next mai crossroads turn right. Walk for approximately five minutes passing the Court building, near the end of the road turn right and you will find a white building.
