On July 1, 2025, the partners of the GENDERWISE project, funded by the European Union, held an online check-in meeting to review progress and plan the next steps in promoting gender equality in sports. The meeting gathered representatives from Croatia, Portugal, Greece, Finland, Ukraine, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, with BRAVO represented by Kenan Junuzović.
The meeting focused on three main areas:
Educational Program Development – The partners confirmed that the research phase of the project was successfully completed and approved by the Project Officer. Building on these results, work has started on creating an innovative educational program that will address gender stereotypes and promote equal opportunities in sports. The first draft is expected by the end of July 2025, with peer reviews and expert evaluations planned later this year.
Dissemination and Awareness – To ensure greater visibility and public engagement, partners will continue publishing articles, social media updates, and other informative materials. By September 2025, each partner will prepare short video presentations introducing their work and role in the project. BRAVO will provide technical support and editing for these videos.
Next Steps – The next online meeting will be held on September 3, 2025, where partners will present the first results of the educational program. Additionally, preparations are ongoing for the upcoming meeting in Athens, which will gather experts and partners to discuss practical steps in promoting gender equality in sports.
Through continuous cooperation and knowledge exchange, the GENDERWISE project aims to create practical tools and educational resources that will contribute to breaking gender stereotypes and fostering inclusivity in sports across Europe.
