During the past week, the University of Zenica successfully hosted training on writing and applying for European projects, intended for academic staff and professional personnel of the University held by Brain Tank and BRAVO. The training aimed to strengthen institutional capacities in preparing high-quality project applications for European and international funding programmes.
The training was evaluated as highly successful, with particular emphasis on the fact that each faculty within the University completed all training modules tailored to their specific needs.
The programme covered key topics such as:
- understanding European project platforms,
- project application structure and development,
- budget planning and financial management,
- partner identification and cooperation,
- and other essential components that make a project proposal competitive and successful.
Mentorship and Next Steps
In the upcoming period, a three-month mentorship programme will follow, during which participants will work closely with experts to further develop project ideas and finalize applications for submission. Already, three projects are fully prepared and ready to be submitted in the next calls, demonstrating the practical impact and effectiveness of the training.

The training was delivered by Ismailn Sehic, an expert with many years of experience in preparing, submitting, and implementing European projects. Through a hands-on approach, real-life examples, and interactive sessions, participants gained practical knowledge directly applicable to their institutional work.
