“EU ON THE MOVE”: 3rd TRANSNATIONAL PROJECT MEETING IN SAKARYA, TURKEY
From 20th to 23rd of April 2022, our team has attended a third Transnational Project Meeting for the project “EU ON THE MOVE” in Sakarya, Turkey and has spent 3 marvelous days alongside project’s partners from Croatia, Slovenia, Portugal, Romania, Italy and Turkey. One of the specific objectives pursued by the Erasmus+ Programme in the field of sport is to raise the awareness of the importance of health-enhancing physical activity, through increased participation in.
With EU on the Move project, we want to address this topic because physical inactivity became not only European, but a global public health problem and because beyond health, increasing participation in physical activity has multiple mental, social, economic and environmental benefits, especially in young age.
The main aim of the EU on the Move project is to increase awareness of the importance of physical activity among children aged 7-11 (elementary school students) by additionally educating sport professionals (trainers, kinesiologists) and by implementing sport activities for children in schools/sport clubs/organizations in each partner country.
The project management team met to sum up the project activities done until that moment and plan further project activities. The meeting was needed to plan the content of IO3 (“EU on the Move” Guide), to plan the Final conference agenda, participants and dates, evaluate the dissemination activities done so far and plan next actions in that field. During those days we have discussed about the current status of the Pilot Project Implementation in partner countries, the result of the local MSE in each partner countries, and of course the already mentioned evaluation of the dissemination activities and final meeting planning, and also touched upon the communication strategy within the social media channels and PR for the future reference. All partner have prepared detailed presentation about the work they have done so far and each partner has presented it to everyone. But, beside meetings, presentations and evaluation of the results, the best part of it was the visit to local school where the project is being implemented.
We had a pleasure to see the smiling faces of the children whilst they are practising and using the approach of the “EU ONE THE MOVE” project and can not wait to start the project implementation phase in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
