“This was my first youth exchange ever and I didn’t know what to expect. I wasn’t scared but I kept wondering what my group from Bosnia would be like, what the activities and workshops look like and would I manage well among people from so many different countries… However, this trip exceeded all my expectations. Everything, from the activities, the work and the effort to exploring Silivri and spending an entire day in Istanbul, the most beautiful city in the world, socializing and meeting new people was an amazing experience that can only be gained by stepping out of your comfort zone, with courage and a desire for new adventures.

The theme was Youth4Green; we learned how we, as young people, can have a positive impact on our environment and what the current situation in the world is regarding pollution, global warming etc. These are topics we don’t encounter every day, ones that aren’t discussed as much as they should be in schools, let alone in casual conversations with friends.

I gained new skills, learned how to adapt in unfamiliar surroundings, express my opinion without hesitation  and appreciate other people, cultures and traditions. This journey will always remain a beautiful memory!” – Hana Čeljo

“From 19th to 26th September 2025, I had the chance to join the training course “Youth4Green: Digital Leaders for a Sustainable Europe” in Istanbul, Türkiye. The project gathered 40 young people from across Europe, and right from the start, the atmosphere was full of energy, curiosity, and openness.

The training focused on sustainability and digital transformation, but what made it special was the way we learned. Instead of just listening, we worked together on creative activities, shared ideas, and found practical ways to connect digital tools with environmental action. This hands on approach made the learning experience both useful and fun.

But one of the most lasting impressions I take from this project is the people I met and the friendships we built. I made great friends, had inspiring conversations, and felt part of a community that truly wants to make a difference. This week left me motivated, hopeful, and excited to bring new ideas back home.” – Esma Krnjić

“Participating in the “Digital Leaders for Sustainable Europe” project was my first experience with youth exchanges and one of the most valuable so far. I applied to step out of my comfort zone, travel, improve my English, and develop new skills. The topic of a green future was especially appealing, as I believe it is the direction all sectors should follow, with young people playing a key role in this process.

The workshops were designed to encourage dialogue, spark discussions, and motivate us to share opinions and personal conclusions. In addition to learning about the project theme, each activity also guided us toward personal growth,  from public speaking and presenting, to developing communication, teamwork, creative, and digital skills through practical tasks. These processes helped me shape my ideas more clearly and collaborate with people from different cultural and educational backgrounds.

Silivri, a quiet town by the sea and nature, left a strong impression on me. The peaceful environment brought us closer, encouraged us to plan activities together, and strengthened our connections. The cultural visit to Istanbul enriched the experience even further, as we explored the city’s landmarks and interacted with locals.

Throughout the exchange I felt welcomed and comfortable. The participants from other countries, as well as my team from Bosnia and Herzegovina, were exceptional. I gained new friendships, improved skills, and collected memories that will stay with me for a long time.”

“Between 19th and 26th September 2025, I had the opportunity to participate in the Erasmus+ training course “Youth4Green: Digital Leaders for a Sustainable Europe” in Istanbul, Türkiye. Being surrounded by such a lively and diverse city made the discussions about sustainability feel even more real and meaningful.

The project focused on the link between digital transformation and environmental action. What struck me most was how practical the sessions were. We didn’t just talk about ideas, but explored real tools and strategies that can make a difference. I discovered new ways to use technology in youth work and learned how to design projects with a stronger impact.

This experience changed the way I see my own role in sustainability. It gave me useful skills, but also the motivation to take more initiative and turn ideas into action back home.” – Eman Čičkušić
